Harvest Service Technicians When You Need Them Most

“Our pre-harvest inspection is intended to optimize processing efficiency and avoid breakdowns. Our harvest service technicians are ready to respond to our customers at a moment’s notice, repair malfunctioning equipment, and reduce any downtime. We understand that this is the busiest time of year for most wineries and with that in mind, we hold technician hours open to be ready to help in the event of emergencies.” -Ray Hernandez, Manager of After-Sales Services

Types of Pre-Harvest & Harvest Service

Harvest equipment includes a variety of components, and with that in mind, you should plan to have your harvest equipment serviced at least once a year, well in advance before harvest season. There are a variety of harvest services that ColloPack can provide including:

  • Pre-Harvest check – Machinery & Individual Components Audit
  • Safety & Maintenance Training
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Emergency Equipment Repairs

Your Harvest Service Appointment

Once your needs have been assessed and your service is scheduled, one of our dedicated harvest field technicians will arrive at your facility and perform a comprehensive inspection of your equipment. Because there are more factors impacting quality and efficiency, each pre-harvest and/or harvest service appointment is completely customized.

Upon arriving onsite, your ColloPack service technician will review your equipment, determine areas of optimization, and develop an individualized maintenance program to fit your needs.

Finally, as with any appointment, we’ll provide you with a detailed service report for your machine maintenance logs. This report will provide an overview of all work completed as well as any recommendations for additional parts and service deemed appropriate.

FAQs About Harvest Service

How soon can a harvest service technician come to my facility?

Our field technicians tend to get booked months in advance as we get close to harvest, so it’s important to schedule your pre-harvest service appointment as soon as possible. We do, however, reserve time on the calendar so that if an emergency arises, a member of the ColloPack team can address it as soon as possible.

How long will harvest service take?

Our technicians work very efficiently during the pre-harvest appointments and typically can get through a couple machines per day.

When should I schedule my harvest service appointment?

We recommend scheduling your pre-harvest service between February and June. This will ensure your machinery is optimized for harvest well in advance of the season.
